Oakland’s raters report that you “couldn’t ask for a better location” than this seasonal seafood’s spot directly on Shinnecock Bay” in Hampton Bays; from its large deck and “great outdoor bar” diners can “watch the fisherman come in” or take in “amazing sunsets” as “bands play in the summer twilight”;
meanwhile, “friendly” staffers serve up fine fare that’s “fresh and good.”

 LOCATION – Oaklands Restaurant.

From the East or the West, take Sunrise Highway (27) to Exit #65 South (Hampton Bays).
Coming off of the exit, proceed straight to the Hampton Bays Diner, getting into the left lane.
At the diner stay in the left lane, then make a left onto Montauk Highway (27A).
Follow Montauk Highway into the middle of the town of Hampton Bays and at the second traffic light, make a right onto Ponquogue Ave.
Proceed on Ponquogue Aveune, over the railroad tracks. Go past the Hampton Bays Elementary School on the right and proceed straight
to a four-way stop sign in which you will be making a left onto Shinnecock Rd.
Go to the second stop sign and make a right onto Foster Ave.
Follow Foster Avenue over Ponquogue Bridge to bottom of bridge which is called Dune Road.
Turn left onto Dune Road.
